The Story behind Its Name:

In the Transylvania region of Romania, the Hoia-Baciu Forest has many nicknames, including Romania’s Bermuda Triangle, and the most-haunted forest in the world. Named after a shepherd who went missing in the forest with a flock of 200 sheep.

Strange Stories Happened There:

  • A five-year old girl who went into the forest and came back out five years later, wearing the same clothes and not looking a day older.
  • There are some 1,000 people who are thought to have disappeared here over the years.
  • The strange activity in the forest around a clearing where nothing grows. While scientists have studied the soil and determined that there’s nothing wrong with it, the area is devoid of plant life. Some claim it is a portal to another world.
  • Today visitors of the forest experienced strange things such as strange symptoms like uncontrollably anxiety, nausea & the feeling of being watched, failure of electronic devices and strange voices.

What to do in the Forest:
Many families visit the forest there’s a lot of things you can do there such as hiking, picnicking, biking and even BBQ.
